I am currently a high school English Language Arts teacher with 15 years of experience in the classroom. I started with a degree in journalism with a focus on business communications. Then, I spent a few years writing for a trade publication about produce. Try making that sound exciting...
I love to read, and that is really where my passion for words began. From Stephen King to Jane Austen, I celebrate most any author that uses creative, connotation-filled words and vivid imagery. Me? I hope to emulate them somehow, someday...or at least continue to enjoy the harmony of their words on the page.

While hardback dictionaries might be passe, investigating words and their meanings is a daily occurrence for me. Add on the craft of using one with just the right sound and feel in your mouth --pure pleasure. Almost like finding that morsel of perfect flavor- words for me are often that moment of joy in an otherwise routine life.
